PolarCOM is a virtual system of marine instruments and alarms that can be used to monitor and measure position, speed, course, depth, wind, and other data. It takes in NMEA 0183 input from either a serial port or a network connection and provides both digital and analog instruments. Additionally, it has a standalone anchor and depth alarm with both audio and visual warnings.
